Hey all!
I thought I should finally join this place... First of all cause half my f-list is present here. And I think I could be called quite nerdy myself.. In that: I spend way to much time on the internets (LJ only, basically, though), I like metal as well as trance and other electronic stuff like that, fantasy/sci-fi movies & literature, and comics too these days. I'm not really into gaming - but that's only to protect myself and my environment, really, cause I know that if I start doing that, I won't do anything else anymore.

Uhm.. Lemme see, you want some of my favourite stuff perhaps?
+ Music: Dark Tranquillity, Scar Symmetry, Amon Amarth, Finntroll.. (basically melodic death and viking/folk stuff) when it come to metal.
+Movies: basically "all" comic book movies, action/adventure/epic stuff.. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Bladerunner (Harrison Ford, anyone?), The Mummy & Scorpion King series, stuff with brawny warrior men in them!!! and anything by Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Christopher Nolan, the Coen brothers.
+ Books: it's been ages since I read anything of my own choice really (I've been studying Literature for 3 years at uni) but some of my favourite writers must be Tolkien (obviously.), Marion Bradley, Roger Zelazny (Anber Chronicles!!), Anne Rice, and yes, JK Rowling.
+ Comics: I generally seem to prefer Marvel over DC (but! I'm currently readin Watchmen and obviously LOVING it), for the rest I'm mostly into X-Men atm, favourite characters being Wolverine, Deadpool, Sabretooth, Shadowcat and Rogue.

Oh and, if you need convincing, lol:
NerdTests.com says I'm a Slightly Dorky High Nerd. What are you? Click here!

I'm gonna watch Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome now =D

Little bit of a rant...

So, the flea market here has a Jaguar system...Collapse )

Worst MK ever?

Anyone else Mortal Kombat fans? It was probably my very first fighter and holds a special place in my heart, even before Streetfighter, Tekken, etc... even Marvel vs. Capcom, which is like, my crack. So how bad do you think this is going to blow? I'm not excited about it. And they were doing so well with Deception and Armegeddon... I thoroughly enjoyed both of their newer games.

P.S. - Completely off topic, anyone seen Repo: The Genetic Opera? I was wary - it's a musical/ock opera- but the basis of the plot is pretty gnarly so I gave it a try. I liked it. I'd recommend it. Set in near future, everyone's having organ failure, so they get new organs... but if they don't make payments, the "Repo man" comes and takes the organs back to the company. Twisted.

Hello -- I've just started my journal because I've started reviewing all of the energy drinks I've used to stay awake during an all night LAN party or trying to beat Gears of War before work at 6am. Feel free to add my journal if you'd like, you can agree/disagree with any of my reviews or recommend energy drinks. I like feedback.

I collect comics like a fiend (X-men is probably my poison of choice... Gambit fan here.) I play a lot of PS3 and XBox360 and I'm a local D&D Dungeon Master. (Oh gosh, I really am a nerd.) I listen to a lot of rock/metal... I like Black Sabbath, Iced Earth, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Cradle of Filth, etc etc... the list goes on.

Pleasure to be here.
